Donovan Nominated For Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan has been nominated for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The annual awards recognise the work and lives of those composers and lyricists who create popular music around the world. Donovan was a key figure in the creative explosion of the mid Sixties with international hits, such as Hurdy Gurdy Man, Mellow Yellow and Sunshine Superman.

Among his accolades are an Ivor Novello and BMI Icon. Donovan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

The 2014 Annual Awards Gala will take place at the New York Marriott Marquis on Thursday, June 12th.
