Anvil

Pioneering Canadian heavy metal act Anvil formed in 1978 and have recorded fourteen studio albums to date.

The band's 1981 debut release, Hard'n'Heavy, laid the groundwork to Anvil's landmark follow up, Metal On Metal (1982), which took the underground scene by storm. International tours with the likes of British rockers Iron Maiden and Motöhead ensued.

In 2008, Anvil's self-titled rockumentary (produced by Emmy Award-winning director Sacha Gervasi) premiered at the prestigious Sundance Festival and it was described by The Times as "possibly the greatest film yet made about rock and roll"
