Cigarettes After Sex

Cigarettes After Sex are a formidable group on virtually every level, with their music generating an incredible response from fans and critics alike. They have been profiled by Music Week, named as one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” and Pitchfork described their debut self-titled LP as a “heady melange of several genres of subdued indie rock” with “stark lyrics and clever composition.” They were named to important “Best of 2017” lists of such outlets as Rough Trade (#6), The Guardian (#21), Q Magazine (#21) and The Independent (#26).  They were recognized by Pandora as an artist to watch in 2018 (#3).  Their track “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby” was used in a pivotal moment in the Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning drama THE HANDMAID’S TALE.  The band’s music has also been featured multiple times in the Netflix favorite, THE SINNER.  Cigarettes After Sex have more than 120 million streams on Spotify and 210 million views on YouTube.

The group has built an enviable touring base, having played sold out shows in clubs and theaters (1,000 - 5,000 capacity) recently in all the major territories around the world, including the UK, Europe, Russia, India, Southeast Asia, South America and Australasia.  Following a completely sold out North American run this past fall, Cigarettes After Sex recently announced a new 2018 tour that begins on March 23rd in Austin, TX with performances scheduled in North America, Europe and Australia through 2018.
