The group is the product of musical director David Downes, who had previously pioneered the Irish-themed stage show Riverdance. See more here.

Irish folk quartet The High Kings first exploded onto the music scene in 2008 and have since sold out hundreds of shows, in Ireland and the US, and appeared on numerous TV shows. Their incredible versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between the four of them, brings a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites. Their new album, Friends for Life captures the essence of the ensemble's energetic sound of 'folk n roll' and even the occasional sing-a-long.
